Iron-On & Tagless Labels

Tagless heat-transfer label inside a t-shirt neck

Iron-on and tagless labels apply without sewing. Both woven and printed labels can be made with a heat-seal/iron-on backing, and tagless heat-transfer prints put your branding and care info directly inside the garment — with no physical tag at all.

How iron-on labels work

The heat-seal level is determined by the material, since heat and pressure create the bond to your fabric. This process is performed after the label is made, so there’s an additional process charge. Iron-on labels are straight cut only (folds are not possible) and come pre-cut on rolls. Woven backing lasts longer; some customers also stitch for extra longevity.

Custom iron-on clothing labels

Tagless (heat-transfer) printing

Tagless labels print your logo and care content straight onto the inside of the garment — zero itch or bulk, a modern look, and ideal for soft tees, activewear, and kids’ clothing.

Which attachment is best?

Sew-in is most durable, iron-on is fastest, and tagless is the most comfortable. Full comparison: sew-in vs. iron-on vs. tagless labels.

Frequently asked questions

Can iron-on labels be folded?

No — iron-on labels are straight cut only and come pre-cut on rolls.

Do iron-on labels last?

Woven iron-on backing lasts longer than printed; for maximum longevity, many customers also stitch the label.

What’s the difference between iron-on and tagless?
